If there is anything that cats are innately good at it’s getting pregnant. A pair of breeding cats, which can have two or more litters per year, can exponentially produce 420,000 offspring over a seven-year period. Unfortunately this means that our stray population continues to grow and that a large number of unwanted animals are destroyed every year.

It’s also worth noting that castrated male cats have a 50% increased life expectancy over an un-castrated male. Multi cat households and farms are much more likely to have un-healthy, flu ridden cats than a household of neutered cats If you do not intend to breed from your pet the responsible thing to do is to neuter them.
